Giving

As Christians we are called to give to the work of God’s Kingdom. Giving to sustain the work of the Kingdom of God was a key marker of the life of the early Church, and is still part of the Christian life today. Theologically giving is so much more than passing on money to pay for ministry staff, admin costs, heating, lights, and outreach initiatives.

Giving is a responsibility for church members, but it is also a joy. It is a tangible demonstration of our trust in God, and an acknowledgement that he is Sovereign; all we have comes from him. Giving also helps us to dethrone idols which seek to take our hearts captive and draw us away from God.

The most consistent way to give is by direct credit.
